I would’ve enjoyed seeing OG- Marcus Wehr (Montana State) get invited. I’ll just watch for his Pro Day results. My guess, his stats land him within the top 10 OL Combine results.

The rest of my targets seem to be on the list.

I'm with you, that is a surprise. Arizona RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt not getting an invite is a shocker. Best RB in the Shrine Bowl. Also, Efton Chism, WR from Eastern Washington. A lot of hype about him at the Shrine Bowl. Shilo Sanders? Shamari Simmons, S Arizona State. Can't invite everyone, but this indicates a deeper draft than thought.

Guys from this list that I hope the Texans meet with:

Treveyon Henderson RB
Cam Skattebo RB
Kevin Winston Jr S
Darius Alexander DT
Derrick Harmon DT
TJ Sanders DT
Emeka Egbuka WR
Grey Zabel iOL
Luke Kandra iOL
Elijah Arroyo TE
Jack Bech WR
Jaylin Noel WR

Man I would be so happy if Caserio was able to draft Sanders in rd 5 and traded a future pick for a 6th and picked Croskey- Merritt. Croskey- Merritt was really impressive at the Shrine game.

On another note, where do you think RB Gordon goes? Guy was great at Ok St. 2 yrs ago.

Gordon is probably RB 7 or 8, so 4th, maybe late 3rd if a team values an inside runner. Looks like a Steeler RB to me.

Croskey-Merritt only played one game this year although his 2023 seemed solid stats wise

Looks like Croskey Merritt began college in 2018 and was trying for a 7th college season in 2024 before being shut down by the NCAA. Still, I would have liked to see him compete vs the top RBs. The guy looks electric with the ball in his hands.

Well BigTex JD for sure is special, so he might be an exception because in no way is he a hotdog celeb as he would seem to be anything but.
The point was that a highly rated QB skipping the combine drills is not out of the ordinary.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Arroyo injured his knee at the Senior Bowl. Arroyo, though, does plan to be ready to perform for scouts at UM’s Pro Day on March 24.
Arroyo could go as early as the second round depending on his medical evaluation at the Combine.
He played 11 games in his sophomore and junior seasons combined because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

While I like him as a prospect, his injury history is concerning. I don’t know if I’d draft him before the 3rd round.
True this is why he might last until the 4th rd, he's a 1st rd talent.

I'm going to call this before the Combine Arian Smith is going to light up the Combine. If Bech isn't there at 2-58, I would be all over Smith at 3-89. He's got game breaking speed and decent enough hands. His coaches described him this way. He's always open. The thought of pairing Smith's speed with Stroud's arm is really appealing.

1. Jackson OG
2. Mukuba or Watts S
3. Smith WR
4. Phillips DT

I've got a feeling these are the guys I'm going to want after the combine.

Smith is a track guy, so that wouldn't be surprising. Had 20 total receptions his initial 4 season, then 48 in his 5th year. Only runs flys, deep posts, and WR screens. Smith is not pro ready and a late round developmental guy at best. Doesn't even return kicks or punts.

Didn't Baylor WR Thornton kill it at the combine a few years ago, but did nothing in New England? And Thornton was a better college player than Smith. Forget 3rd round, maybe a 7th on Smith if Nick still has the pick then.

One guy killing at the combine and failing wouldn't stop me from picking Smith, simply because his coaches said it best. He's always open. The Texans could use a guy like this. I'm also adding Robinson to the WR corps in FA.

I wouldn’t draft Smith unless it was a 7th round flyer. There are other WR that I’d take a chance on before him.

I like watts and mukuba, but #7 from the gamecocks might be the best defensive player in cfb. They passed on Kyle Hamilton once, I wouldn't do it twice. You don't find many safeties that size that can cover tight ends and on the back end deep. Plus he will hit you and is a ball hawk.

Suddenly, every time I try a Mock on PFN, SS- Nick Emmanwori (South Carolina) is available at 25. Funny, before Monday Emmanwori was selected by the Vikings or Packers on each and every attempt.

But it also comes with this caveat….when Emmanwori is available, so are; LT- Simmons (Ohio State), WR- Egbuka (Ohio State), DT- Grant (Michigan), and LG- Jackson (Ohio State). Who would you take, knowing all of these players would be gone before pick 58?

I wonder how smart he is. There's no doubt he's a great athlete and I'll admit my bias against adding players from South Carolina after the Clowney/Swearinger/Bennett etc... experience. I feel the same way about Clemson players.

What about "Pay Me Rick", lol. What do you think about Malachi Moore. I've watched a few clips of him and seems to be a sure tackler who plays smart at safety.

I like Kevin Winston Jr as an option in the 3rd. I think he’s underrated at the moment. He’s going to drop because he had the injury near the beginning of the season. He’s an excellent tackler.

Nick. Dt and Wr depth is very, very good. I would go Emmanwori 1st, Grant is right there though. I could take Grant in the 1st and Watts in the 2nd. Theo Weiss. Andrew Armstrong, the kid out of Stanford will all be available in 3rd rd in terms of wrs. I'm not drafting a offensive lineman. I would get that guy free agency

Makuba is a Clemson player

Who was smart enough to realize Clemson is trash and got out of there.

He worked hard and improved his play with a better environment and better coaching at UT.
You playing right? I know the young man somewhat, he's from Round Rock. He just wanted to play close to home plus UT collective is top notch.

There's a reason he got homesick and he definitely got better coaching at UT.
