Offense: My goodness this is easy, James Casey. Can you be any more productive or awesome than that? Because that was sick. I hope they replay that catch on ESPN over and over, that's a top ten catch. The ball floating over a defender, JC laying out and bringing it in....just awesome!!

Defense:
No. I'm giving theirs to Andre Johnson, who absolutely disappeared after a monster first half. First half was still good enough to steal the defense's ball away because they don't deserve it at all. 40 points is ridiculous, I don't care if you're playing Jesus, Breesus or any deity.
 
Game balls are given when your team wins. And I'm not talking about a moral victory.

Casey did have a hell of a day .... 25+ YPC and even had a play where he lined up at tailback for a solid gain.

Offense: Casey...The great part about that game is it has to open some DCs eyes when they play us now. This guy MUST be accounted for...wow.

Defense: Demeco Ryans. Looked a lot like the old Meco yesterday. Making plays around the LOS not 5 or 6 yards after it.

Way back when I played football, they only gave out game balls when you won. Thought that you might want to know that. Maybe that's changed in the "Everyone gets ice cream for participating" era we live in. Sorry if I bruised your...feelings.

Better yet, do away with the scoreboard. Everyone gets a trophy and a ring at the end of the season.
 
Another vote here for no game balls for a loss.

Sorry, Time Killer, don't mean to crap on your thread but this is a very "moral victory" mentality. I would have been on board with it during the first couple of seasons, but it's season ten and anything short of a win is.....a loss.
 
How about we do a "No Balls" thread for the worst players on offense and defense after any loss.

After watching the game I nominate Kareem Jackson for defense and Jacoby Jones on offense for not having any BALLS. Hopefully these two players will be able to find their balls sometime in the near future. Although I'm not real confident Kareem ever had any to began with.:splits:
 
Can you please make sure you pass them out before the game and not after? There are some players out there that could us them, becuase they've been playing without any game balls for too long.

You're right and that is right if you are coaching a football team.

But we are fans. There is NOTHING wrong with discussing who played the best after a loss.

As a part of the actual team that is something you don't want your players to talk about. How would it sound if Andre said "We loss but I got 100 and something yards, I had a good game." That's a losers mentality. What if we saw Kubiak handing out a game ball to Andre after this game? That would suck.

But again we are fans not the players or coaches. It is safe to talk about who played well in a losing effort. It's really not that serious, all he's asking for is who you thought played the best on offense and defense. Nothing more and nothing less. No one is getting actual game balls.
 
My balls did kinda hurt after that game ..... Kept wondering who kicked me but no one else was home accept for Grandma and she cant get up much less kick ....

Bitches just hatin' because you grew up before refrigeration/ice cream hahahaha. I don't give a flying **** about the stone ages. Just so we're clear, I didn't grow up with participation awards either. But I did grow up being able to talk about anything I wanted to talk about. Like for instance, I don't care to be one of the people SHITTING all over this board. I'd like to see who everyone thought had a good game. I can't even believe some of the things I read, it's like I'm watching a different team, different game, some of the things said didn't even happen and there they are. My most sincere apologies for elbow dropping your sense of aesthetics by using the phrase GameBalls... I didn't mean to flash you back to your youth football a.k.a. the year of our lord 18hundred and 23 hahaha.....Come on 'Oldilocks, lighten up.

No it isn't. They lost, like only they can. Did you see me trying to unexplain, re-explain, use pictures or anything to spin this into a moral victory? No.

All you have to do is think that somebody on the team did something right. That maybe, just maybe it would be ok to filter through all the bullshit on this board right now and have a discussion about what went well.

I tried to look up how James Casey's production looks vs. other FB's around the league on NFL.com.

They don't even bother to list Full Back stats there.

Wow, the guy is on another planet.

Its a shame Gary can't just draft TE's to play every position given the production they get :kitten:

Dre gets a game ball, though I don't think he'll take it.

Then I'd put Kareems name on a game ball & kick it the fcx out of the stadium....

I'm just kidding, thought y'all would like that last one.

Killer, I can see you feel the need to balance out the forum and hug the Texans collective jock. But, the Texans lost. And lost in a fashion not so dissimilar to how they pissed away last season (and the previous season). So, it's only natural for fans to vent (or ****, as you like to put it).

Gary Kubiak figured out after 3 years how to use James Casey. Great. Oh, and this just in: Andre Johnson is good. Who knew? Thanks for your input.

How bout we just kick Kareem outa the stadium instead ? Man he got abused by Lance Moore .... (Then the Aints ran the exact same play on the second 2pt conversion as they did on the first and .... J Jo got burned by it).

Never heard of him....Alstott was a decent run option too, I don't know if LC was or not but if that one run last week is indication James Casey seems to have a knack for running to daylight off a handoff. At 6'3'' 250 and runnin like the wind....he seems like a lot of fun to tackle hahaha

OK, just so I have this straight:

We can't talk about anything good from the Indy win because The Chin was not under center.

We can't talk about anything good from the Miami win because it didn't meet the minimum standard for how well they are supposed to win.

We can't talk about anything good from the Saints loss because, well, it was a loss so everything was a complete and utter failure.

Here is hoping that we beat the Steelers 48-3, with all five trips in the red zone producing touchdowns, two long 50+ FG's, no punts, an ST touchdown, 3 picks and 5 sacks on defense, holding them to less than 200 yards of total offense.

Then MAYBE we will be allowed to say something positive?

But then again, Sunday afternoon there will be a thread bitching about giving up a field goal, or that Pittsburgh was not the same team they used to be so they better do it again against the Ravens or they sux, or that Mario was not in as many plays as they thought he should be, so he is a bust at OLB, or...

Got to love Houston Sports Fan. Never mind that their defunct WNBA has more championships than their NFL, MLB and NBA teams COMBINED. They walk around with a sense of entitlement for winning and demand for championships that is generally reserved for cities that have a history and tradition of winning teams. Nothing is ever good enough for them...

I believe you meant the Forehead.
