I'll take Booker, but honestly think it's going to be Simmons. Not advocating for it to be Simmons, between the character concerns and the injury, but I think that a) Caserio won't pass on the potential upside and b) don't think the Texans view patellar tendon injuries as negatively as this message board does.

The character concerns and injury are what is keeping him from being a bona fide mid first round pick.
It's also why I'm steering clear of him

I don’t think Simmons is on our board. Ryan’s wants a culture guy. I agree with @Texansphan that between the injury and the off field stuff that we will steer clear of him.

I agree with this, but I can see a world where the character stuff is more media generated than reality and history shows the Texans aren't afraid of signing guys with the type of injury Simmons has.
Not saying I want it to happen, but wouldn't be shocked if it did

I have to say that Caserio and Ryans still have my buy-in, if it's Simmons I'll be perfectly fine.

If it's Simmons the concerns are solely limited to his injury. I'm confident that the FO will not be drafting non-SWARM guys going forward

Only one I'd be mad about is Simmons. No way. No how. Just flat NO.
I'm also not much of a fan of Conerly, but after throwing a few things around, I can find a way to support it. I'd be happier if they trade down if they want him.
Booker is who I think will be the choice, and that coincides with my first choice. Exactly what this line and offense needs. D Jackson is a close second, and I'd be thrilled to add him as well. So, those are my top two targets. Egbuka is in that mix as well, I'd say he is my 3rd choice.
While I'd put Zabel just a touch behind Booker and Jackson, I'd also be pumped to add him. I don't mention him in that vein not because I don't like him...I do. I just don't think the Texans will draft a guy from the Little Sister's of the Poor. They want power four school guys, especially that high. But if Nick pulls a shocker...I'm all for it.
So, that's my "four-pack" - give me one of those four and I'll be purring like a kitten - Booker, Jackson, Zabel, Egbuka.
