Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning: Playoff Records & Stats

Texecutioner

Hall of Fame
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have both put up eye-popping stats in both the regular season and postseason.

Both Brady and Manning have each started more 20 postseason games. Brady has started 27 games and Manning has started 23. The only player to start more games than Brady’s 27 was Hall of Famer Jerry Rice with 29. Rice appeared in four Super Bowls and won three.

Only 10 quarterbacks in NFL history have won at least 10 postseason games.

Manning’s Broncos fell short to the Colts in Sunday’s divisional playoff game. Manning and Brady may never square off in the postseason again if Manning chooses to move on from football after this season.

Here’s a look at how the two Hall of Famers stack up:

It is always interesting to see these two go into a match up. I'm a little disappointed that it didn't happen. I always enjoyed the anticipation before this match up, and I don't think I've ever seen a rivalry bigger than this one in my lifetime as far as the NFL. When they played 10 years ago in playoffs, you kind of figured that was going to be the SB winner. You have to wonder if we'll ever see another match up between them in the playoffs ever again now since Manning lost. I still think we will.

IMO Manning is done or near done. Still a great on-field coach but he looked like a dinosaur when throwing. No zip or urgency to his passing.

Funny thing is that it was just a few weeks ago that his passing was great. He still had a great year statistically other than his INT numbers. He sort of withered down the stretch of the last 4 games of the season and into the playoffs like Schaub did a few years ago. At the end of the 4th quarter you could tell that he just didn't have the urgency to try and win it. He wasn't even trying to get throws down the field. His body language looked bad today.

Yeah, something happened a few weeks ago. I'm not sure when. I don't watch their games, but probably in that game against the Rams, something happened. After that, they switched things up, and started being a run-oriented team.

It's a lot like when Schaub went down the tubes, but even more accelerated.

He injured a thigh before the KC game, and he injured the other thigh in that game. And winter happened, which didn't help!
