This seems like a good deal for the Browns.

Typically you value the pick 1 year later 1 round less. I’d assume 2 years later 2 rounds less.

So more 25 + 1 from Texans side.

This is a deep draft and if we can acquire more top 100 picks I'd be all for it. Sometimes You need these late picks to balance the trade out even if you're trading down.

The other 5th is in 2027. They essentially gained two extra picks this year and a net gain of one pick overall. Draft day trades, probably easier to deal current picks because the GMs are prepped and ready for this year’s class. Especially the ones on the hot seat… no guarantee they’ll run a draft in 2027.

It is pulling forward two extra picks this year (we are trading a 2027 5th). I think he is adding late round picks because he already has a plan(s) to trade up, significantly, in round 1 or 2... costing us most of our other picks... But Nick wants OL depth as well... Therefore, he adds 2 day 3 picks on the back end of the draft.

It’s a lot but not crazy. The Keys are the second rounder this year, and the first next year. It’s not that far off what the Texans gave up to move from 12 to 3 for Anderson.

I’ll worry about Hunter when Goldilocks becomes a great QB.
