The Colts get #6, #37 & #49 (2nd), and the Jets 2019 2nd round pick. A 4 for 1 deal. Thanks a lot, Mike Maccagnan.

Wow. Great move for the colts. Move back only 3 spots and pick up all those extra picks? Geez.

I guess the Jets are targeting a qb?
No shixx Sherlock !
Is it chosen Rosen who the Jets are going after to make happy their NY city Jewish fans, but what if the other NY city team wants him too ?
Even though we don't have a first round pick this year, this is still going to be a fun Draft with all of these QBs.

Colts have such incredibly good fortune when it comes to the NFL Draft & QBs. When they need a franchise QB: NP because they are drafting #1 overall when Andy Luck, one of the top QB prospects of the last 10 years comes out of college.
Then this year when they have the third overrall in a huge Draft for top QB prospects and this opportunity from a team looking for a franchise QB walks into their front door.

That's what happens when you tank.

Who actually thinks that Luck is even coming back healthy or the same dude again? I just don't see after this much time.

Sucks for him, because it's hard not to like the guy. He's a class act kind of kid.

Apparently Irsay/Ballard

If Luck is healthy, with these extra picks and as good as Ballard is (IMHO) the Colts will be back in no time. It really comes down to Luck's health.

I don't see Luck getting back to full form. And even if so, the last time he was on the field his awareness and field perception was one of the worst in the league. He was as turnover prone as anyone.

Apparently Irsay/Ballard, if healthy with Luck and Ballard running this franchise the Colts will be contenders in a couple of yrs. (I'm a big fan of Ballard's) It will all cime down to Lucks health.

not been the case for Texans. what if now, the Colts rebuild whole OL? as a special Texan bonus dries up the drafts blue chip OL prospects. Like Lucky said, thanks a lot Mike Maccagnan

#06 Quention Nelson, OG, Notre Dame
#37 Martinas Rankin, T, Mississippi State
#38 Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP
#49 Chukwuma Okorafor, RT, Ohio State

That's what they said before when Luck was first tearing it up, and what happened? Irsay screwed it all up. What gives you all this confidence in Irsay? He's one of the worst leaders in the league. Maybe the worst.

I don't see this happening beerlover. They have too many holes on Defense to fill to spend all those picks on O-linemen. But, they will probably use 2 of those picks on O-linemen whereas before, with one pick in the 1st and one in the 2nd, they may only have taken one O-linemen, so it's still not good for the Texans. They look to be set at OT with Castonzo and Haeg and at Center with Ryan Kelly, their 1st rd pick last year who was on IR most of the season. The LG spot may be set with Vujnovich but the RG spot is probably wide open. So, if Nelson is there they will probably take him at #6. I think they will also use one of the 2nd rd picks to get either an OG or OT for depth/future starter.

Either way it will be at least 2 less choices the Texans will have when they get to pick in the 3rd rd. Now, if they decide to package a couple of picks, which I think is more likely now since they have picked up the DB help in FA, and they move up in to the 2nd round, they may be able to get Crosby or O'Neal. But, the price might be steep to do this. They would probably have to give up all of their 3rd rounders just to move to the 36th pick range ahead of the Colts. I don't see them doing this but I could see them using #68 and #103 (4th rd) to move up in to the 2nd rd around the 56th pick to take an OT, possibly Crosby if he fell. Right now there's just no way to tell what kind of value teams are putting on the few good O-linemen that will be available in this Draft, but my gut is telling me with the low supply there will probably be a "feeding frenzy" in the first 2 rounds!

It’s obvious overkill but in this market value is pretty spot on from what I know when these OL prospects go off boards.

Bottom line is another divisional foe has more ammo to improve faster than any of us forecast.

It's sad to say but I don't think he will ever be the same again or even close to what he was. I watched him on a number of occasions when he was at Stratford HS and you could see the talent even then. Was always hoping the Texans would be able to draft him when he came out but it just wasn't meant to be (missed it by 2 years)! I wish him the best on his return, except when he plays the Texans of course, but I just don't think he will ever be the same.

I think the Broncos will take Nelson #5 and that will drop Chubb to the Colts at #6.

Brilliant move if it falls that way. They desperately need pass rush help and moving back for three 2nd rounders and still getting the premiere edge guy in this draft would be a coup.

Agreed then take Hernandez in 2nd.

I'm in total agreement with this post. Except there will be starting caliber OL in this draft in rounds 3-4.

I would probably sit still until the 3rd and draft. The best TE then trade up using a 4th and pick Harrison. Then with the comp pick take Richardson.

One good thing is the Texans should have a better idea of who to draft after the Sr bowl than anybody.

Better leadership from Ballard.

I dunno 'bout the Jets strategy making this move, this trade so far out from the Draft, unless they think Indy might have taken their guy at #3 ? We know the Jets are going QB but maybe Indy is too but is confidant their QB is still on the Board at the 6th pick ?
Nah this trade from the Jets perspective makes no sense at all because the only way it's plausible is if there's 3 franchise QBs in the Draft, otherwise why would they do the trade now ?

There are 4 Franchise QB's in Rosen, Darnold, Allen and Baker. There will be several others that have the potential to reach that status depending on their landing spot and the time they are given to learn the job.

But most likely they have one guy they are targeting as their top Priority even if they like several of the QBs. This way they are locked into the 3rd pick and two other teams can move in front of them between now and the actual Draft night.

Crazy thought, but I think there are a few offensive and defensive "lock type" prospects and in my IMHO, it isn't any of the QB's. I think these QB's could use a little grooming before being handed the reins. I just don't see 1 of these 4 being any better than the other. Make a note...every team at the top has already picked up a veteran QB to possibly bridge the learning gap for these guys. Don't get me wrong, these guys have the talent to become "Franchise QB's" and some may do it in season one and some may do it after season one...but the FA moves by the teams at the top would make me think that they're not 100% sold on these guys being immediate impact players....and that's not a bad thing.
