That game against cincy in playoffs. He got the pick six..
Probably one of the last times I screamed for the Texans and not at them lololol
Dude left here in an attempt to escape the dysfunction only to run into more of it in AZ….
I took my son and best bud to the first playoff game. We were in the end zone (6th level nose bleeds, of course!) where JJ had the pick 6 and Andre Johnson scored his first post-season TD. That was badass to witness.
Awesome night and one my son will never forget. I remember having so much optimism about the Texans, even after they lost the next week, and they appeared to have a good core of players going into the future. JJ was the foundation of it all.
Nobody should ever wear 99 for the Houston Texans again. I know they don't retire numbers, but it should just be an unwritten rule of respect.
If you remember, the Steelers and Packers didn't have cap room to sign Watt. Unless JJ took the vet minimum. He was limited by those that wanted him and those that could afford him.Sad part is he could have picked just about any team in the NFL and chose the Cardinals. Money talks. I don't blame him, but damn, shame to see it end this way.
I remember meeting you and your son in blue lot. I rode there from Austin with Hookem.
The best part about that Andre TD was he scored it against Packman Jones, who I have a special dislike for. It was man coverage and Andre used a double move that left Jones in the dust.

The Bucs weren’t really a contender until Brady signed. 2 weeks after Watt signed in Arizona.Tampa Bay wanted him and had cap space. They just couldn't pay as much as Arizona.

That was a blast!! Blue Crew is always an awesome place to hang out before/after games, and that night was even better because of the win.
We parked at Hermann Park, so had to ride the train back to our ride. That was crazy. Drunk Texans fans fighting each other, rolling out of the train door when it stopped. How can you beat on each other when our team just won their first playoff game?! lol Insane.

I agree with you 99 should be in the rafters. Hopefully, JJ signs a 1 day contract to retire a Texan. And Cal is smart enough to retire the number as well.

He made his choices.
He knew what joining the Cards meant.
