Texans 2013 NFL Draft, Round 1

I think Hopkins is the starting wr opposite dre from day 1. Hopkins is a nice player. He reminds me of hines ward.

Hopkins is the safe pick. They made a lot of noise about getting speed at WR. But they came up with a solid possession receiver instead.

Start working a trade up and get smith. At this point in the draft sign him to a 4 year deal and when Schaub contract is up you have two years of bargain at QB.

He reminds me of Boldin. I just like him overall. I agree that he is the starter opposite Dre on day 1.

We have our #2 receiver.

Makes complete sense if he is to replace Kevin Walter.

Well, I don't follow college football so I'll just have to defer to you guys' insight. Is this a good pick for us? How did he stack up with the other WRs available for us at this spot?

Hopkins put up a 4.41-second time in his second 40-yard run at the Tigers' recently opened indoor football facility. Hopkins' first-run time of 4.46 seconds was also faster than his NFL scouting combine time of 4.57 seconds.

Still not comfortable with the motel thing.

Holy crap! Minnesota gave the whole farm! New England always gets great trades. Those cats end up with a $hitload of pics each year it seems like.

How on earth does New England always get these trades? I would have GLADLY taken that deal from Minnesota for our pick two picks earlier. Instead, NE gets a new boatload of draftpicks for their slot.

One pick past us, a trade-up that gives away the farm. Texans had no part in it. Go figure. Oh well, at least we got a WR, so I'm happy.

Alright next pick in the 2nd, we absolutely HAVE to go linebacker...
How many ILBs worth that pick are there? If Minter is there, sure. But, I wouldn't take a ILB just because there's a hole there.

You think we turned it down? I know we needed a receiver, but that's a lot to pass up if it was offered to us.

Texans should've taken Geno. Sticking with schaub thru this will cost them in the near future. How many times will u get to draft a qb of his quality?

Based on nothing but the suit and hairdo, I'm glad we didn't take Patterson. His hair is up in a bun, LOL.

His Quality? He's still available! That should tell you all you need to know about his quality.

Yes, we turned down the 2,3.4.

If it gets you to pick~44 or lower I think you do it, but at 52 I don't think Woods/Hunter will be there.
