Draft Tracker 2025

Blake Bortles. Enough said
How did that Jadeveon Clowney work out, and his 29 sacks? You would expect 100 sacks from a #1 pick. I would've rather had Bortles 103 TDs vs Clowney's 29 sacks. Bortles would have saved the Texans 7 years of QB nightmares and been a better QB than what they putting on the field. Where would you like to start, Weeden or Osweiler? Apparently, not enough has been said.

Only one problem, Texans have tunnel vision, they are only interested in the season at hand. This has been a chronic pattern of behavior since the Bill O'Brien days.
Not seeing it.

Dude you pay attention to these players, would be much more enjoyable to read your posts to see the positives and negatives to these players and not that any decision the Texans make is going to set us back 10 years.

If you really do have some insight this is your time man.

As much as I am not a fan of Shedeur, there is no room for things like this.

Shedeur Sanders was prank called during the draft on Friday night
By Mike Florio

Published April 26, 2025 07:24 AM

The excruciating free fall of Shedeur Sanders has been streamed live. Those watching last night may have believed the plunge was over.

Shedeur believed it, too.

Via Christian Arnold of the New York Post, someone prank called Sanders on Friday, leading him to believe he was about to be drafted.

“Been waiting on you,” Shedeur says.

The caller eventually says that he’s going to “have to wait a little longer.”

Shedeur pulls the phone away and says, “What does that mean?”

He was stunned due in large part to his belief that no one had the number.

Even more stunning was that Sanders hasn’t been picked through three rounds and 102 selections. The process resumes at noon ET on Saturday.

I'm giving some expert opinion and advice here. The Houston Texans' history of draft picks has been mediocre and average AT BEST. The File Clerk, aka the Master Trader is no Eliot Wolf or Les Snead. This is just stating the obvious, unless of course, you are a regular customer who dines at the 1-star Caserio Cafe where OBVIOUS is not on the menu. I do hear they serve up some marvelous Kool-Aid, though.

I just saw a mock for the rest of the Draft today: I didn't see a Houston pick until the
sixth round, and I dunno is that accurate ?

I agree with you. It’s a cruel joke. While Sanders might not be my cup of tea, it’s an a**hole move to do something like this.

Then continue with the Troll-by then.

Go Colts!

Are they still alive?
It's possible another GM may have done a comparable job to what he has accomplished in the 5 or so years he's been here, but we'll never know.
The grass is always greener...

From what I have researched, he is unlikely to play this season. Is scheduled for more surgery correct?

I believe his surgeries are complete. He’s got a long rehab road ahead of him. I believe this draft haul will motivate him even more.

Nothing would be more exciting than the Texans having 4 to 5 extremely gifted WR’s on the roster entering the 2026 season. Toss in improved TE production and it gets even better.

It could be Howard, Pierce, and Metchie that find themselves as pieces Trader Nick uses in packages to move up today. I got a feeling Trader Nick would like to keep his 2026 assets.

So the Sanders kid still remains undrafted !
I love it mainly because the mock-draft community is all so P-Oed that their boy is still on the
Board. Like they know what the hell they are talking about !
Then there's big mouth Prime who says his his kid and the two-way guy should be 1 & 2 in this
Draft: well atleast he was half right.

Something went down in his meeting with the Giants. I have seen articles about it, haven't read any. But, I bet they make it sound like it was something small. However, ask the Giants and it probably will be a bit different. Different enough that other teams have asked and then passed him over.

I feel so bad for Cam Ward. Dude is like Bizarro Shedur. 0-star recruit from a random place in Texas. Climbs his way up the college ranks to eventually become the first pick in the draft. Basically never gets mentioned and everything is about Shedur.

Sanders is clearly the No.2 QB in the draft. I assume the NFL is humbling him and Deon on purpose.

While there is some discussion as to whether the surgical treatment of a dislocated knee should be staged or not. If staged, the collateral ligaments are repaired/reconstructed first and then 6-8 weeks later the cruciate ligament reconstructions are performed – I strongly believe these injuries should be treated in stages in order to obtain the most favorable outcome possible.............something that all of the recent studies support. In Tank's case, because there were so many areas of damage, single stage would not have been possible anyway.

His damage was as follows:

ACL
MCL
LCL
Patella stabilizing ligaments
meniscus
articular cartilage

Stage I (was performed mid Jan 15):
Meniscus evaluation with repair
Articular cartilage evaluation with removal of loose fragments
Repair of MCL, LCL and patellar stabilizing ligaments

Stage II (was performed March 5):
Repair of ACL

Beyond this, ~40% of these patients will require a subsequent procedure for relieving stiffness/excessive scar tissue formation (timing determined by necessity).

Lastly, months to years later, articular cartilage damage may need to be addressed in the form of microfracture surgery, cartilage transplantation, etc

Who Doc?

I didn't realize Marcus Mbow is still there. I had him as a top half of the 3rd or maybe very back end of the 2nd. Apparently...I'm way off, but I like him.

He might be the last guard left that could potentially be a starter! Let's get Mbow!
