NFL playoffs 2013-14

I´d also say he is too good to give up on. He produces in the regular season and shows flashes of brilliance. And the alternative to him is almost certainly worse. They just have to hope, he is more like Peyton Manning (taking his time to win big in the playoffs) than Matt Schaub (never really getting it and ultimately imploding).

I just feel like Rodgers is going to get it done in the 4th quarter. The 49ers cannot be content only having a three-point lead.

Basically. He's good enough to get them to the playoffs but not good enough to win once there. It's the first time the Bengals have made the playoffs three straight years, so I wouldn't give up on Dalton just yet.

I don't disagree with any of this. But I do feel like Dalton's teammates make him look better than he really is. The Bengals are LOADED on both sides of the ball. Dalton is an average QB and unless that changes his teammates will have to carry him to get any farther.

Eddie Lacy!

I love this guy!

Been watching him all year and I would love a running back like him.

Is it just me or is kap a terrible thrower

I've never been high on him. I think he is too reliant on his legs and he's a thrower, not a passer. He's a dangerous player but I don't think he's a franchise QB. Once his legs are gone, his career will be too. Just my opinion.

But he's been far more successful in his career so far than I thought he would be, so I can't really say much.

Yeah he never throws a tight spiral. Its always loose. He gets it there but its fugly.

Man, you can't just give up your rush lane like that to try to get the sack. Kaepernick will make you pay if you let him outside the pocket with only a LB to beat.

No FG is a gimme in these conditions, but if the Niners get a first down here, it's either an SF win or overtime.

Those gongs on third downs for the visiting team in almost all NFL stadiums is getting really old and trite, too.

Alright! San Francisco goes to Carolina. Cool beans.

:kingkong:

Another great day of NFL football. I love the Wild Card/Divisional week's one-two punch.

Can't wait until next week.

You did good. I only picked 1 out of 4 (Indy) and that was the game that pissed me off!

Same here... Road teams won three of the four games. The one home team came from 28 behind. The game I was the most confident in the other team won in the largest outcome of the week.

Of course Indy would be the Buffalo Bills this week. :toropalm:

The Bengals tripped up most people this week but I wasn't falling for their act. Dalton isn't taking that team anywhere.

Wild Card
Indy> KC
Cin> SD
Phi> NO
GB> SF

Division
Sea> GB
Phi> Car
Den> Indy
Cin>NE

Conference
Cin>Den
Sea> Phi

Super Bowl
Sea> Cin

I despise Denver, New England & Indianapolis and I've never been a fan of Rivers... So I'm hoping Cincinnati or KC can make a run in the AFC. Philly is the type of team I think can make a run, then again they're playing in one of the toughest games this week. I like Russell Wilson both as a football player and as a person, so I hope he wins the Super Bowl for Seattle. :cowboy1:

This was more what I wanted to happen but you can see how terrible it was..

Philip Rivers goes insane on 790AM, talking trash & losing control

Last shot at hearing “Philip Rivers” blast Peyton Manning, Andy Dalton and everything else in his way: http://www.sports790.com/media/podc...entlemen/phillip-rivers-on-a-mobile-24147020/ …

Does the weather hurt the Saints by disrupting Brees or does it help them by forcing Payton to keep the ball on the ground?

Nice call.

QBs in the playoffs:

Brees 6-4 and a rating of 101.9
Brady 17-7 95.9.
Manning 9-11 96.9.
Rivers 4-4 81.8.

Seahawks converted in only 13% of third-and-10 situations this season.

Saints-Seahawks relevant factoids: Russell Wilson is 1st QB to win 24 games in his 1st 2 seasons. And he's only 4th sub 6-0 QB since 1960.

I'm not expecting a lot of interest in this game, considering both teams use the antiquated ZBS. There'll be a lot of running too, with the weather the way it is.

I'm not a Pete Carroll fan, but you have to give him credit for being very open to change/flexible...

13-3 season, earned Playoff BYE week and Carroll:

1) Decides to start rookie OL Michael Bowie -- who had 7 injury replacement starts on the right side of the offensive line -- at left guard.

2) Builds his offensive gameplan around a player who might have a combined 2 weeks of practice and only 20 live snaps ( back in week 11) with the team... ever.

Well, he's a 9/11 truther, so he can have all the "swag' he wants, he can still go **** himself.

That's still an awesome GIF though. Ric Flair-esque.

Glad they're winning right now though, because I know a few Saints fans who I can't stand. Don't want them to be happy.

I guess I'll be a Seahawks fan for a few weeks now. If they lose today, I'm not sure how much interest I'll actually have in the rest of the playoffs.
